1. Who We Are

TravelPlans.app is operated by Online Solutions Group (ABN 41 883 442 526), a company registered in Queensland, Australia. In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Online Solutions Group. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the Service:

  • Account information: first name, last name, email address, and optionally a mobile number.
  • Authentication data: hashed passwords, or Google/Apple SSO identifiers if you sign in via a third-party provider.
  • Flight search data: origin and destination airports, travel dates, cabin class, budget, and search frequency preferences you configure.
  • Usage logs: records of actions taken within the app (logins, searches created, results clicked) along with timestamps and IP addresses.
  • Session data: duration of your browsing sessions within TravelPlans.app, collected to improve product performance and measure engagement.
  • Device and technical data: browser type, operating system, and general location inferred from IP address.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Run scheduled flight price searches according to your saved criteria.
  • Send you email alerts when fares matching your criteria are found.
  • Send transactional emails such as welcome messages, email verification, and password resets.
  • Improve and develop the Service, including identifying usage patterns and diagnosing issues.
  • Respond to your support requests and communications.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on servers located in Sydney, Australia, operated by DigitalOcean LLC. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restricted access controls.

5. Third-Party Services

To operate TravelPlans.app we engage the following third-party service providers, each of whom may process some of your data:

  • SerpApi — used to retrieve Google Flights data for your saved searches. Your search criteria (airports, dates) are sent to SerpApi to fulfil searches.
  • Resend — used to deliver transactional emails (alerts, verification, password reset). Your email address is shared with Resend for delivery purposes.
  • Stripe — used to process premium subscription payments. Payment card data is handled directly by Stripe and is not stored on our servers.
  • Google / Apple — if you use social sign-in, your public profile information (name, email) is shared with us by these providers under their own privacy terms.

We select providers that maintain appropriate data protection standards and, where required, enter into data processing agreements with them.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and flight search data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.

Detailed activity logs (action logs) are automatically purged after 90 days. Aggregated, anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Opt out of marketing communications (you can do this in your account profile settings at any time).

8. Cookies and Sessions

TravelPlans.app uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in between page loads. This cookie is essential for the Service to function and is cleared when you log out or when your session expires.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking.

9. Children's Privacy

TravelPlans.app is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice within the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revision was made.
