Claude
Works on all plans

Connect and fully manage your watches on any Claude plan, including free. Nothing extra to switch on.

ChatGPT
⚠️ Needs a paid plan + Developer Mode

Requires a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu) with Developer Mode on. On individual Plus/Pro you can view your watches; creating watches via ChatGPT currently needs a Business/Enterprise workspace. This is a ChatGPT limitation, not ours — a simpler one-click option is on the way.

Pick your assistant to get set up

Two short paths. Follow the one for the assistant you use.

What you'll need
A Claude account (any plan) and your TravelPlans login.

    Open Claude's settings

    In Claude (web or desktop), go to Settings → Connectors.

    Add a custom connector

    Click Add custom connector (the "+" next to Connectors).

  3. 3

    Enter the details

    NAME TravelPlans
    REMOTE MCP SERVER URL https://travelplans.app/mcp
    CLIENT ID / SECRET Leave blank
  4. 4

    Click Add, then Connect

    Claude will send you to the TravelPlans sign-in page.

  5. 5

    Sign in

    Use your TravelPlans email and password.

  6. 6

    Approve access

    You'll see a screen asking "Allow Claude to create and manage price watches on your account?" — click Allow.

  7. Done

    You'll return to Claude with TravelPlans connected.

In a chat, make sure the TravelPlans connector is switched on, then type:

"List my TravelPlans watches"
"Watch flights from Brisbane to Tokyo in September for 2 adults."
MANAGING & DISCONNECTING

You stay in control, always

Disconnect any time

Remove access from your assistant's Connectors settings whenever you like.

Your watches stay safe

Disconnecting only removes the assistant's access — every watch stays put in your TravelPlans account.

It asks before acting

Your assistant only ever sees your watches, and asks permission before creating or cancelling anything.

Quick troubleshooting

"It can't connect / authorisation failed."

Make sure you used https://travelplans.app/mcp exactly, and that you're signed in to the correct TravelPlans account.

ChatGPT: "I can list but can't create watches."

Creating watches through ChatGPT currently needs a Business/Enterprise workspace (a ChatGPT limitation). You can still create watches directly in the TravelPlans app, or via Claude.
